He did his schooling from D. P. H. School, Gopalganj. After that, he studied at the Institute of Hotel Management, Hajipur. He also joined National School of Drama (NSD), from where he graduated in 2004.
Career
He got attracted to arts and started visiting various drama shows. After 1996, Tripathi became a regular theatre artist and did theatre for 4 years. On 16 October 2004, he moved to Mumbai. He made his feature film debut in the 2004 romantic thriller Run. He got recognition in the Hindi cinema industry after Gang of Wasseypur.
